Dr. Mora’s research interests are focus on three main areas: biobanking of biospecimens for translational and clinical research, clinical trials on prevention and treatment of different cancer (ex. breast cancer) and the epidemiology of cancers in Puerto Rico. Dr. Mora is a surgical oncologist. Her clinical practice focus on breast cancer and melanoma patients. In addition, she completed a Research Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Furthermore, she also completed a master degree in Cancer Biology (UT School of Biomedical Sciences), and a master degree in Biobanking from the University of Valencia in Spain. Among active research projects, she is involved in various clinical trials related to breast cancer, and is a researcher in the NIH funded Puerto Rico Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).
