Axel Gierbolini-Bermúdez is a researcher at the Puerto Rico Central Cancer Registry (PRCCR) and possesses vast experience as a software development consultant. He holds a doctorate in Public Health with emphasis on Social Determinants of Health (SDH) from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR); a Master of Biblical Studies from Central University, at Bayamón, PR; and a BBA from the UPR, in Computer Information Systems from the School of Business Administration. As a specialist in scientific data, Dr. Gierbolini-Bermúdez has collaborated with the PRCCR in the development of advanced algorithms and data analysis. As a researcher, he is interested in the impact of SDH in the cancer care continuum.
