Dr. German G. Salazar-González is an Associate Professor in the area of oral medicine at the School of Dental Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. Dr. Salazar has 24 years of experience as a dentist and 17 years of experience as an oral medicine specialist. Right now, he is involved in 11 academic courses and clinical rotations with pre-graduate and post-graduate students. Dr. Salazar has been involved in a few clinical research projects in the past, such as The presence of amyloid in abdominal and oral mucosal tissues in patients initially diagnosed with multiple myeloma: a pilot study and Impact of Obesity and Renal Insufficiency on Oral Mucositis Associated with High- Dose Melphalan. He is very interestedin being part of research projects related to oral cancer or pre-cancerous disorders.
